While reading David Allen's book Getting Things Done, I was inspired to revisit the old Lotus Agenda application. It's very good for implementing GTD, but I wasn't satisfied with its operation on "modern" operating systems. I tried many other applications, but none satisfied the way Agenda did, so I set out to write Beeswax to be, more or less, an Agenda replacement.

There are innumerable ways in which you can use Beeswax. This page describes just one possible workflow.
